LOL, thats not really fair. I've lived in the UK and have Aussie friends. Although I never have a problem understanding Aussie (unless a few pints were involved), I've always liked the Brit accent of the women; however, there is a fine line.

I would have to agree...British accents are a little harder to understand. Heck, I'm a Yank. LOL

In our country we can understand English accent easily, maybe it is because we have got used to that. We have been hearing that accent only all through the colonial days.. For us I think Australian twang is a little difficult to understand.. Yankee english seems better compared..

Being British I would obviouly have to say my native tongue has to be the preferred accent.

Ok, no offense meant to Aussies, but I like the Brit accent more, only because I can understand them even if they're talking fast; unlike with Aussies, I can't keep up. I remember watching Australia's Next Top Model and I just had to ask over and over "What did she say?"

I like the British accent better. There are times that I'd imitate them while watching tv. ^^
