My youngest son was never officially diagnosed with Celiac Disease, but he had so many of the symptoms listed (minus the female one) that my husband and I decided to change his diet. I had actually only heard about Celiac Disease when I saw a discussion about it on a television show last year. My husband had missed the show, but luckily I had written down their web address so I could show my husband this particular topic. We couldn't believe our eyes that so many people have this condition yet don't realize it and that this is more common than people think. Here are the symptoms:
recurring abdominal bloating and pain
chronic diarrhea
weight loss
pale, foul-smelling stool
unexplained anemia (low count of red blood cells)
gas
bone pain
behavior changes
muscle cramps
fatigue
delayed growth
failure to thrive in infants
pain in the joints
seizures
tingling numbness in the legs (from nerve damage)
pale sores inside the mouth, called aphthus ulcers
painful skin rash, called dermatitis herpetiformis
tooth discoloration or loss of enamel
Reproductive issues (miscarriages, infertiltiy)
missed menstrual periods (often because of excessive weight loss)

This second one is a symptoms checklist that you can fill out and print up:

Since changing our son's diet he is doing a lot better. And yes, I've spoken to his doctor about it, though briefly, and the doctor is glad my son is doing better, even if we didn't consult him first. :P

What type of foods is gluten in? My son has and daughter have chronic constipation since eating any food even just pears and I'm trying to find out desperately whats wrong because there condition is very serious not just an occasional firm stool. My daughter has constipation so bad that she prolapsed twice.

Gluten can be in just about all foods (except things like fresh fruits and vegetables). Unless it states otherwise that is indeed wheat and gluten free I can only suggest that you start reading the labels and familiarizing yourself on what foods are okay.
Fruit shouldn't cause problems, unless your kids are eating too much of it. After all, too much of one thing isn't always a good thing, even fruit! :P
Here is a link that lists what grains and flours are okay (or not okay).

Another thing you can do, if it is available to you, is go to a natural food store in your area. They tend to carry foods that are gluten free! Though all the foods they carry may not be gluten free, so if you're not certain be sure to ask someone that works there. They should be able to help you out.
Good luck! :)

I must say the name on English sounds a lot less exotic than the one we use in my country "Coeliakie", but well yeh, it is heavily underdiagnosed with just about 1/3~1/4 people which actually have celiac disease to be diagnosed with it. And that with a high sensitivity of 98~99% blood test being available it would be so easy to discover.
But it has become better than in the past though, and the gluten-free diets which these people should take are becoming more and more varied as well as there's quite a lot of production of it done already and yet more coming up.
And hehe, the poor doctors seeing their patients fade away with more and more diagnosing themselves these days :P.
