What is the power of your glass or lens- do you use contact lens or glass

There are people who say that glasses make one smarter but I absolutely don't agree that wearing eyeglasses or spectacles make one smarter. This just proves that one did not take care of his or her eyes well enough to get this deficiency or defect. In fact, I do wear glasses and I started wearing them when I was still in my college years and the optometrist who checked up on me told me that I had astigmatism and advised me to wear corrective eyeglasses. Further, she said that my 20/20 vision will hopefully be regained. True enough, I regained a perfect vision after several months of wearing the glasses. Sad to say, I admit that I was hard-headed and decided to not wear them at all, thinking that my astigmatism was finally cured. As a result, my vision grew more blurred than ever before. At present, I am wearing another pair of eyeglasses again which were issued to me by the company healthcare provider and the cost was deducted from my salary. It has a grade of 125.00. Contact lenses are prevalent nowadays and some people prefer wearing them over the traditional eyeglasses. Unlike them however, I still go for the eyeglasses because one doctor told me that it is adviseable to have a pair of eyeglasses, even if I will use contact lenses. I find this too expensive for me. Aside from this, I have heard more accidents happened to users of these lenses compared with the eyeglasses. Regarding lasik surgery, I'm not yet open to this option.

I do not glasses or lens-- yet because I've been using the computer a bit too much lately I can't see too far from somewhere and I feel I need them soon.
