What do you do with your left over cornflakes?

I just made a potato casserole and have about half a large box of cornflakes left over. We don't eat cornflakes and I don't want to waste them. I can feed them to the chicken as feed if they get stale but I would rather use them in a productive way. What are your suggestions? Do you have recipes to use them in?

You can crunch them up and coat chicken with them. You can also save them for the next time you make your casserole. They are also good on top of other casseroles. I have a recipe (I wish I could find it) its for coffee cake. You make your cake, then for the topping you crunch up corn flakes, add sugar, spices and top the cake before baking. You would never know the topping was made with corn flakes.

I have no idea where the recipe is, I wish I knew. You can take any coffee cake recipe and add you own topping. Crunch up the corn flakes, add some brown sugar, some cinnamin, butter and there you have it. You can also add pumpkin pie spice, cloves, nutmeg whatever you want. If you make a coffee cake in a bundt pan, as it bakes the topping sort of goes to the inside of the cake, its so gooood. Just experiment, thats the way I mostly cook.

Hi, Yes I have made cookies with left over corn flakes as I do not like to waste them either and there are a few other recipes where I have added cornflakes to as well, I do not like wasting food at all. I shall have a look when I am better and put a recipe through using cornflakes.
