Those fancy front loading washing machines  

There were many of those in the apartment before we moved into our own house, but they could only hold so many. I don't know if I just loaded too many clothes or it was just a small machine. But I know what you mean, we have small top loading machines and it took 3 loads to do our clothes and bedsheets every week and we have no kids yet :)

I was considering a front loader when I first bought my washing machine and did some research on them. Front-loaders actually cleans better and saves on water but is an electricity guzzler and much more pricier. As for your question on your laundry size, I always thought they came in different sizes. Last I checked, I saw a 10kg top-loader.

I don't have one but I've heard they can hold a lot. I actually want one in the near future. May have to get one for my mum and da because their washer is dieing. But anyway... yeah, it just depends on what you look for in the washer. Some actually claim to be able to wash 14-15 pairs of jeans. That's pretty good. Others claim to be able to was a full king sized Comforters. Those are huge. So in the end you just have to look around.

I think you'll find a 7kg front loader will hold the same amount as the 7kg top loader :) If you want a bigger machine, just buy one that will hold more!!!
They're not really fancy, they're just more energy efficient & water efficient which is the main reason i think people are swapping to them.
The only problem would be the bending down part unless you put it up on to something sturdy so it would be a better height!
You can get front loaders that are a washer & dryer in one :) I had one in a apartment i rented in Melbourne & it was very convenient. The machine washed & dried everything all in 1 cycle.
I kind of wish i had've bought a front loader instead but maybe we'll look in to geting one when our current one needs to be replaced!

Yes they do hold more clothes and they come in some new and exciting colors.

You can find them at Lowes or Home Dopot. And they have the energy efficient ones also.

Hi there! My husband and I have not purchased a front loading set yet but I sell appliances for a living and know quite a bit about them (the reason we have not purchased yet is because I can't decide between 3 different sets and I keep going back and forth about which ones I want). As far as your question goes about whether or not they can fit more than a regular washer/dryer set...YES THEY CAN!!! They can fit at least twice as much (and sometimes three times as much) as a regular top loading washing machine. The drum is much larger but, more importantly, there is no agitator in the front loading sets which gives you a lot more usable capacity! MOST front loaders can easily accomodate a king size comforter. Look for one with a 3.6 cu. ft. capacity or larger. You will save yourself a TON of time and money if you switch from a traditional laundry set to a front loading one because you can do two loads at once and front loaders use less than half as much water and energy to run. The clothes also dry much faster in the dryer due to the high spin out speeds in the washer. Faster spin = more water extraction and less drying time. They also clean better and are more gentle on your clothes. I've used two different sets in our showroom to do my own personal laundry and I was so impressed, I can't even tell you what a difference it makes. Trust me, the initial investment is WELL WORTH IT! You will absolutely love these machines, I guarantee it. Where do you live at?

I don’t have one- but I so want one- Not only are they supposed to hold more laundry- they have many more pluses:
- Use Less water
- Use less detergent
- Spin clothes better- clothes are drier taking less time in dryer
- Supposed to leave the clothes less wrinkly- less ironing- (this is huge for me)
I only have a family of 3- I hope you get one- They are quite a bit more expensive—but so worth it in the long run!
