Jazz music for the young  

I think that's great that your daughter recognized jazz music! Does she have music at her school? If so, that might be where she heard it. I am a music teacher, so that's why I ask. I like to teach jazz to my students, because it is an American form or music, and it's a part of our culture! Kudos to your daughter!

I had a similar story when I was 7. I heard some music in the neighborhood and I told my father:
-Dad, is that rap?
-Yes it is.
-I like it, but I llike much more your jazz!

That's a nice story. If more children liked Jazz, they would probably be a great deal more smarter than they are now....their brains is as much mush, as the music that they listen to.
