Heard this take on one of my local radio station the other day. Do you like celebrating your birthday or are you one of those who thinks that birthday is just like any other day and you don't celebrate it.
When someone wishes you a "Happy Birthday", do you say "Hey, thanks" or would you go "What? Who told you it's my birthday today, huh?" One of the listener even said something to this effect: "I don't like celebrating my birthday ya because birthday can only make me think of one thing: it is one day closer to going to my grave!" Ha-ha, people are getting funnier these days. Another listener said it should be celebrated with your mother because she had gone through so much pain in delivering you into this world. I have to agree with that though. There goes. So, what's you opinion?

The last few years it's just been a small thing, cake with the family and a few presents. My children like to make a big deal of it as birthdays are still special, we often ring up the local radio station to get them to announce who's birthday it is in our family!

I still celebrate my birthday :D. I like to celebrate my birthday hehe. Be it from going for a vacation to just a simple, nice dinner with priceless companion(s). most of the time I will take leave on my birthday. Birthday’s come once a year and I just want to have a good time on my birthday, celebrating it with my loved ones ^___^

Yes, i always see to it that i celebrate my birthday with my loved ones. It's the only time that we get together so we make sure to celebrate it and just have fun during my birthday. And i appreciate it when someone remembers its my birthday and took the time to greet me. It's a good feeling when someone remembers your special day...So that's it...lol

Hi, good to hear your comment. So, you are one who loved celebrating birthday. Yes it felt good when someone remembers your birthday because they have taken the time and effort to do that. Women especially like it when someone remember their birthday. And since you're still so young, you should celebrate and enjoy your birthdays. Thanks for your comment. And you do look lovely in your picture. Good day.

When I was a kid, my mother always cooked me a bowl of delicious noodles with two eggs on my birthday till after I started to work. I am so thankful to my mom to always remember my birthday. After I graduted and started to work, I also like to eat the same food on my birthday, but I have only invited my friend twice for my birthday. Because I think that my birthday will only make me think that I am getting old, which is not what I expect. After marriage, if I happen to be at home on my birthday, my wife always cooks something nice for me to eat. If I am not at home, but somewhere else, my wife calls to say Happy Birthday to me.
There is one thing that I have to stress, which is: I am grateful to my mom for the life she gave me and I value my life as always.

Thanks for sharing your story here. It makes me think; sometimes it's the simple things in life that we cherished. Before i got married, i normally did not celebrate mine too. At times, I tend to forgot. Now, my wife and me would go out to eat on my birthday because her birthday is just the next day.
Hey, would that be "red eggs" your mother gave you? Makes me a little hungry after reading of your noodles there, haha.

In fact, I have nothing particular to the festive feel, including my own birthday, I often forget that every time a friend said to me, happy birthday time, I will think of a sudden, oh, today is my birthday, and then thank them will feel very happy because it was concerned about.

I used to celebrate my birthday with my family and close friends. We just gather to have lunch or dinner nothing fancy and extravagant.
I just want to be surrounded by those people who loves me on my birthday and they don't have to bring anything as long as they are there to share with my happiness and blessings.
