Why are so many people against gun control..?

There are some countries with strong military industry and they are not interested to be limited, this makes their earnings lower. Most of the wars they start just as business: they sell more guns...
It`s a pity.

Actually, (assuming we're talking about the U.S.)the constitution was ratified in 1787 - you're 17 years off. Also, the second amendment was about the people being able to protect themselves from many things, including their own government.

There are two reasons why people are against gun control. One is that, to a certain degree, it is unconstitutional; the second reason is that it doesn't work. The cities in America with the strictest gun control are also the cities with the worst crime. Yet, ironically, in cities where every household has a gun, crime rates are incredibly low. It kind of throws off the "guns cause violence" argument, you know?

Gun Control and Gun Registration makes it easier for a Dictator to take control of the country. Hitler did it in Germany. The first he rounded up his opponents and then he took the guns away. The communits did the same thing in Russia and Cuba. Makes you think what is the reason some politicians push so hard for gun control?

"Hmmm... we in the UK have no guns, and also no dictator."

I absolutely promise you a dictator is in the future of the UK. History has lessons to teach. One of them is that tryants and criminals always seek out those least able to defend themselves. It may not happen over night, but the UK has set itself up for some very bad things. Things which could be avoided if honest citizens were allowed arms and the right to use them.

I have read the Federalist papers that apply to the 2d admendment to the US constitution. It is very clear that the 2d admendment refers to the right of the people to be able to overthrow their own corrupt tryanical government, defend their property, and repel invasion. I would say also, "In that order!".
