housing assistance for grandparents who have custody of minor children

my parents have custody of my brothers kids--my mom was recently diagnosed with alzheimers (the beginning of the disease), my dad is taking care of her and the kids, they dont have enough money to get an appartment and the house they are currently living in is being forclosed on. some advice please...in the meantime i will bring them to my house, however, i am a single mother of 5 who works 40 hours a week...help anybody!

Most cities around the US have a housing program set up for Grandparents. You can contact your local welfare or housing authority office and they should be able to to you how to apply.
