Well they let 3 of there pitchers go as free agents so maybe they should have thought to try and keep them. We are still in May so they still have a chance to turn it around. As a Cub fan however, it is okay with me that they are last in the division. My biggest concern it the Brewers. They are on a roll and are pulling away from the rest of the division.

With Carpenter out for most of the season and the loss of Hancock, they've got to do something with their pitching staff. And god it hurt to watch Marquis beat them in Chicago. It's like they just refuse to mesh this season...I think I've seen more errors this year already than I did all last year.

the hitting will resolve on its own when the heart of the lineup heats up. and the pitching hasn't been terrible, but good lord we should have tried to hang on to one of the starters we let go and being without carp hasn't helped.

I have only seen them play when they play my team, the Cubbies. They did show signs of htting in their 12-9 win against us. Good hitters will, eventually, start hitting. Their pitching staff is depleted and they need to start looking for pitchers, whether via a trade or in their minor league system.
Is this the first year in their new park? If so, maybe that has some bearing on their lack of hitting.
Also, like any family, they have suffered a great loss of one of their own. I know they lost 5 in a row after Josh died. As hard as is it to do, they have to get back to business and play good baseball. They won the Championship last year, after having only 83 wins. The lowest number of wins by any Champion. So they have proven that they can win when they have to win.
