Can we be good friends with our birds? My answer is yes. I have a cockatiel whom I love dearly. We are best friends. I got him from a pet shop when he was 7 months old. He was timid & quiet. I spoiled him, and showed him lots of love. I spent a lot of time with him (still do). I taught him to talk. Found out his likes & dis-likes. I let him out of his cage often. He always makes a beeline for my head. I feed him table food sometimes, plus lots of birdie treats. Millet spray is his favorite. Now he thinks he is human. So tell me a little about your bird.
