Lack of Violence/Action??? So what!

My dad was shocked that I liked the movie Zodiac. I think it is because a majority of the very long movie was talking and the investigation side. But I don't need a lot of action and violence for me to enjoy movies. Is it so weird that a teenager doesn't need blood and guts to enjoy a movie?

Hi, LikyoftheThorns. You are right. We can look at T.V. without seeing any blood, violence and guts thrown all over the place. Movies can be just as good without all of this crap. I love non violent movies myself.

Zodiac was really interesting! If you like detective/suspense/mystery type movies you'd probably like it! :)

I ddont mind violence but I think what made this movie enjoyable was that it didnt go down that route. It concentrated on finding the killer and I found this very intersting to watch. I think maybe it was done in this way due it being a true story. This means that they can concentrate on the things which people know actually happened.

I don't find it weird because I was and am like you. What is important for me is the story. I have liked a lot of movies that doesn't have much action such as Pelican Brief.

Though I haven't watched the movie Zodiac,I totally agree that it doesn't always require violence/action to enjoy a movie. There are a lot more to expect from movies.Especially sensitive girls probably possess a better appreciation for the story and ideas that the movie tries to share.
