Before I get flamed by everyone over 60, please let me assure you I am delighed to be arranging for the remarriage of my Father in Law. I am not so delighted that "s*x on the beach" has been playing full blast almost 24/7 ever since he came home.
I have offered headphones, but he does not want to damage his hearing. Any advice, anyone, before I go totally and irrevocably insane?PS he is an electrician, so the duff fuse switch won't be of any help.

Well, my friend, I would say if the record has been playing full blast 24/7 since he came home, chances are that EVERYbody's hearing has been damaged, so tell him not to be so selfish or the record might break in retaliation.... over his head! lol.

oh LOL Darkwing! I love it! Can't do that though :-( we are a peaceful household (huh! lol!). It is quiet today as they are doing more rearranging. I am being exorcised from that room, you will be amazed next time you visit.

Those chicken livered red and blue pigeons wouldn't dive bomb him but they might throw a seed or two into his tea, as they did last night lololol.
Yup, it really does feel as if I am being completely erased. Even the photos of my parents have been put onto a shelf where they can only be seen if you look for them.
I think it is time for those crows to move on!

Hi Shelagh, Oh well in regards to your father in law probably you do need to buy some ear plugs, if the music is so loud, some people at this age do not like to use headphones but I think that if he is around near you, then you had best use them so that you do not go deaf ...

That isn't the point, I am trying to work here and my members think it is hilarious that I forgot to send a link, again! Also, the floor transference is like my feet are on an earthquake! They are going shopping soon and I feel a spot of sabotage coming on . . .

Loose the CD by accident, Hoover it up or at least over it, turn the Electric of, Give the CD to the Birds and tell him they got it somehow, throw the Stereo in the Rubbish outside, Put him in the middle of the Pond, tell him gabs is sicking of hearing it where she lives, tell him to get an Ear aid if he can't hear it at normal Volume, next time we come to see you give it to Gissi and we can say he thought it was a Frisby
I will let you know if I can think of anymore later
One more when I come to see you put it on the Floor and I will accidentally stand on it with my Heals hehehehe

Oh what a wonderful friend you are! Those are ALL excellent ideas. Trouble is, we live near a town, and there are a lot of CD shops, and it could get very expensive . . .

Sounds like a job for gabs, that, does, YOU go and tell them, as they just might listen to you lol. Has been quieter today as they moved a bit more of the room around and they could not reach the player lololol.

Nah! He isn't going to get into a discussion about how the music isn't too loud whatsover and when he was in Jamaica . . .
Anyway I've lost the lead to the player at the moment. Can't think HOW that happened lol.
