What happened to the girl who starved herself to get Sanjaya voted off??

For those of you who don't know, there was a girl starving herself untill Sanjaya got voted off of american idol. I know she did it for a few weeks but never heard anything else after that. Was wondering if anyone knew whatever happened to her? I tried to go to her page on myspace, had it bookmarked but for some reason it's not there anymore. Just really curious to know what happened, anyone know? Thanks!

According to her Myspace page. She had to go off her hunger strike before Sanjaya was voted off of American Idol, because she had some sort of medical condition arise. Not sure what, so didn't go into detail about it.

No problem, that's okay. Thanks for the info, no wonder she had some kind of medical condition arise. A couple of weeks is a loooonng time to starve yourself, but 3 or more, I think is how long he lasted after she started, is just ridiculous to think she's gonna make something happen after that long. The things people do.. I will never understand that! Thanks:)

Well it was stupid from the get-go. Especially with the odds that she had against her. I really think starving oneself for any reason is stupid, but that is just my opinion. Sometimes you are hurting yourself more than what you are standing up against when you deny yourself the chance at a good nutritional meal. It's just one of the many, many things I will never understand truthfully.

I read on her Myspace that after going to see her doctor, she was advised to stop and gave up after less than three weeks. Apparently she didn't care THAT much about Sanjaya being kicked off, and to go on a hunger strike just to have someone taken off a TV show is stupid.
The producers are not going to unfairly kick a person off of their show because one person wants them to, and if anything, a stunt like that is only going to provide more publicity for Sanjaya and American Idol.

I totally agree with you. I also believe it did provide more publicity for Sanjaya. Neither one of them deserved that publicity in my opinion but they both got it! Thanks for your response:)

No problem, Alot of people never heard of this before, I actually heard about it first from a post from one of my friends and couldn't believe it. So looks like she had to quit, not a surprise to me though that she had to. Thanks for responding anyways:)

Wow no I did not know that there was a girl who starved herself to get Sanjaya voted off!! I do not know why she would pull such a bad thing to do just because she did not like Sanjaya, I like Sanjaya very much. Maybe after Sanjaya did get voted off then the myspace page with this girl on it was deleted.

So someone who did like Sanjaya! Well I have to be honest, I really liked him at first the first couple of times I saw him on the show, during auditions and all that but later, in my opinion, should never have gone as far as he did, but everybody has their likings:) I finally found the girl's page but she hasn't logged on since may 5th so who knows what she's doing now. Looks like what someone had mentioned on an earlier response that she had to quit because of medical reasons, hmmm, wonder why? Who wouldn't start having medical reasons due to starving for a couple of weeks huh! Thanks for responding:)

Who would honestly do a hunger strike to get someone voted off of Idol. I would say that it was more of a publicisty stunt than anything. I guess whatever works to get peoples attention.

Well, I never have heard this one before. I hope she didn't die of starvation. They did vote him off after all.
