Is it possible for International Student to take a break in Summer Semester?

My question is that can International Student go for a trip/job/relax in US at Summer Semester (Holiday). It means that do not take any Subjects in Summer Holiday but still staying in US. Can International Student do that? Or I have to go back to my country?

Well, I do not really know the rules about that and I am sure that every school is different about that. You might want to find out what are the rules for that college that you're going to go to, to know for sure.
