Do you avoid the News or look forward to hearing it?

I would say that I am as addicted to watching the News as someone else may be addicted to soap operas. There has been a few times I have tried to talk about the news with a friend or a family member and they brush me off. They really do not want to talk about the news because they say it depresses them. Does it depress you? I admit sometimes it is overwhelming and I have to take a break from it but I also always have to go back to it because I like to know what is going on around the world. Does anyone else out there avoid getting the news? Maybe you are like me and enjoy catching up on the news of the day?

I'm a news addict. The news is always on, and I check sources several times a day on line. I've gotten out of reading the rags, but still do on occasion. I like to watch the events unfold, and hear the world reactions to events, then try to predict the outcome. Its almost more enjoyable then watching a movie, since its more interactive.
