What is your favourite kind of doughnut? |
|
I really like fresh plain cinnamon doughnuts while they are still warm from being cooked but am not really into iced doughnuts. Today I found a bakery which is part of a chain called Bread top and they have the best custard filled doughnuts as well as lots of different asian style buns At risk of being argued with I have never really seen what all the fuss about Krispy Kreme doughnuts is. All that glazing is over the top in my opinion

1. acmepride (651) | 1 year ago | For some reason, Boston cream is my absolute favorite. But if I were to guess why I like it a lot, I would say that it's probably because of its combination of richly flavored chocolate and delightfully tasty cream filling.

2. Kalikala (393) | 1 year ago | Krispy Kremes! The original are my favorites, but sometimes I like to get the chocolate or maple glazed for a change. All three are sooo good! I can't stand regular cake-type donuts. They're too heavy for me- a bite or two of one is more than enough.

pilbara (960) | 1 year ago | Thanks for your response. I don't think I have ever seen maple glazed ones. I agree - one doughnut is usually more than enough for me.

3. misheleen73 (3138) | 1 year ago | I am not really a doughnut eater. On the occassion I have eaten doughnuts because I bought them for my kids or something of the like, I usually eat the "old fashioned plain" or "crueller" type. They are not as sweet. I have tried the boston creme filled which really aren't bad, but a tad sweet for my taste. I am very picky about doughnuts, which is why I guess I don't eat them often. We have a Swiss Maid bakery in my town that makes the best pastries of any type.

pilbara (960) | 1 year ago | Thanks for your reply. My husband had a chocolate kruller the other day and although it had icing there was glazing over the top and I couldn't see how he could eat it

5. 5000ml (1836) | 1 year ago | I adore original glazed doughnuts from Krispy Kremes I'm afraid! Here in France they don't sell doughnuts much and if they do, they don't taste that good, so compared to that Krispy Kremes really are good.

7. xxidriveastick (692) | 1 year ago | Mmm.. I love Krispy Kremes. I have to be in a certain mood though or else they make me sick to my stomach. I love, love, love the chocolate cake doughnuts. Or the custard filled ones. Or anything with icing and sprinkles on top. Sprinkles just make everything okay.:)

8. kathyj (2487) | 1 year ago | I don't like Krispy Kreme doughnuts at all! I find them way to sween and they really don't taste very good. I go to my local grocery store bakery instead I like the long johns that are filled with cream. Glazed doughnuts are good but they are just way to sticky and messy!
