Can you believe these taxes?!  | |  My girlfriend finished her taxes about a month ago, but I still cannot believe the outcome. She worked in both Nevada (a state WITHOUT a state income tax) and California (a state WITH a state income tax) in 2006. Her federal return was not that great, but her California return required that she pay the State of California $6.00.
I mean seriously, $6.00?!! How odd is that?

| | | | | | 1.  tess1960 (1581) | 3 years ago |  I once paid $3.84 in State taxes. Get this if they owe you (Federal) less than $10.00 they will not pay until the next year. I think Kansas State is this way too.
