My daughter has special needs and is in headstart but next week she will be going into Kindergarden, unfortantly she will be unable to ride the bus with her friends because the kindergarden bus doesn't have saftey belts and no bus aide. She will be riding the special ed bus, which I don't mind I feel better knowing she will be safe. I think all busses should have some kind of belts for safety no matter what the age. Your thoughts?

Very good topic. Yes I think they need some kind of safety belt for sure, its a vechile on the road just like a car. We need to keep our children safe and by them installing some kind of belt would be the best idea. =) Best wishes Stacy

I agree they should have seat belts. It's for the safety of our youth.

I also think that the school buses should have safety belts...school buses do have occassional accidents...plus, I think that the driver would be so much less distracted if the kids had to "buckle up"....after all, they are supposed to wear sat belts in a moving vehicle of any other kind....

absolutely, it doesn't make any sense they are required by law in any other kind of vehicle. So why not a bus, right. i love how certain laws only apply to certain ppl and places. personally i think it is very unsafe and i can understand your concern. your daughter will be better off on the special ed bus. Much safer and there's supervision.
