Smith Films

I loved them all, but I really enjoyed the smart writing and clever story of Chasing Amy. I enjoyed the raunchy humor of Clerks and Mallrats, loved the religious undertones of Dogma, but in the end I thought the creative story from Chasing Amy did the most for me in terms of a complete movie. The interaction, the relationships, and the dilemmas were perfectly portrayed.

For seriousness I would pick Chasing Amy. But for all out fun would be Mallrats. But I like all of his movies so far.

Dogma

Mostly because of how Kevin describes why he made the movie and what they had to go through to get it out. I find anything that can make fun of religion but still keep what true and what they believe intact because that is their religion really respectful even though most just see it as some guy making fun of God. I think Kevin was laughing with God with this one.

On another note. i also love the South Park episode that talk about Christianity. Especially the one where cart man starts a christian band. I would have bought that CD with a cover like that. it was rad.
