|  i keep hearing about pasta with white wine sauce. but i never tasted that before. and i keep searching for restaurants in our city which serve that but i think there is none. so can anybody tell me if its yummy and worth the effort of looking for it?

| |  I often make clams with brocolli over a bed of linguini....
I use white wine to cook them in, and then you add the flour (if you want it creamy) and spices that you want in there.
I don't really have a recipe for it, I just dump what I want in there, usually a variety of mushrooms, a little of everything they have fresh at the store, shitake, portabello, etc. Fresh brocolli is the best, I use sweet white wines...Imported is my preference, (German or Italian wines are my favorite)
search for this on the net, I bet you find a decent recipe

| |  i agree with you that if there is no restaurant which can be identified to be cooking something to this effect, then by all means, it will be good to search the internet for a recipe. surely, there are some which can be found therein.

| |  I love pasta with white wine sauce. My husband makes this for me occasionally. He sautes onions in butter adds garlic and roasted red peppers. He then adds about 1 cup of white wine. He lets this cook a few minutes then he adds peeled raw shrimp and scallops. Cook until shrimp are pink and sauce has thickened alittle. Then he serves it over pasta. I prefer it with penne pasta but ant shape works.
