Still feeling tired

I have been on my current level of medication for almost 3 months now and am still feeling very tired. I am just about due for new bloodwork and am wondering if I should mention to my doctor about trying Armour or adding a T3 supplement. When my old results came in, she seemed to think that they were only borderline and was not concerned about the way I was feeling. Is anyone on Armour or a T3 supplement? Do you think I should bypass my family physician and go to an endicronologist instead? Thanks in advance. :)

Hang in there. I have suffered from it for years and even though I now have it normalized with medication I still feel exhausted all of the time. My doctor says that I will probably always be tired as it is a symptom of the disease. I just have to budget my time and energy and usually try to rest or take a nap in the afternoon.
Once your medication has corrected the problem your fatigue should get a little better. But don't be surprised it you always feel a little on the tired side. Good luck

I have been on thyroid medication for 10 years now and I still feel tired all the time, too. I have been reading a lot about this and I have found out that there is a reason for this. The synthetic thyroid medication is obviously not exactly the same as the hormone that our own bodies produce. Therefore, it can never give the same reaction as "the real thing".
Definately budget your time throughout the day if you can. I have found that starting my day with gentle yoga stretching is making a difference, too. I don't know why that is, but it does give me more energy, at least for the morning hours.
