I've never been abroad.
Something very interesting and yet unknown to me until recently is that underneath the National Park lies one of the Earth's greatest volcanoes, still active (the geisers are one of its effects). This volcano erupts about once every 600 000 years and it could affect half of the United States (by lava flow and piroclastics). The last time this super-volcano erupted was about 640 000 years ago. So it should pop out any minute...

That's interesting, to imagine half of the United States in ruins. It's horrible but it can't be prevented. There may be evacuations, but then you can't stop the lava flow anyway. What a bummer. Perhaps we can blast a gigantic hole into Yellowstone so that the lava will flow out slowly instead of bursting out in a violent volcano eruption?
I've never been to Yellowstone Park before. Is it big? Is it only about geysers, volcanic activity, and nothing else?
