I have a scratch on my oak dining room table. |
| |
| Do you have any suggestions on what I need to do to take care of this scratch? I know I can buy some scratch stuff made by Endust, I think but I was wondering if there was something that I had here at home that might do just as well. | | | | | |

| | My grandfather used to rub a walnut on scratche's in his furniture and the oil would help to disguise it. Hope that this can help you in some way. Good luck. | | | | | | |

| | my husband use to make furniture and i know this is going to sound crazy, but if you can find a crayon the color of your table and just rub in to the scratch, and just wipe off the the flakes and just take your finger and rub it in and keep using the crayon until you cant see the scratch this really does work. | | | | | | |

| | I don't think it sounds crazy at all. I had heard of that and was going to see if the grandchildren had a crayon the right color for me. Thanks for the suggestions. | | | |

| | Not too sure, but what about a crayon of that color to fill it in. Don't know if it will work or not, just a suggestion. | | | | | | |

| | Oops, sorry I replied from my e-mail the suggestion of the crayon, and hadn't read the previous response until after I replied. I guess it was such a far out suggestion after all. | | | |

| | Go to your local home store and get these things that look like crayons but aren't they are filler get some in the same color of your table and put that in there. There is also a paste filler you can get that is the same color of your table. Put this in like it is directed on the package and when it is all dry get a paste wax from the home center and put it on there you won't be able to tell you even had a scratch if you do just like the directions say. Good luck! Hope this helps you. | | | | | | |

| | They are called filler sticks. Honey said you can use crayons they are actually a wax. Honey said to try and make it darker then lighter if you can't get it the right color. | | | |
