Twin Peaks the Adventure Game

Adventure Games are a weak genre. But they still remain classics to this day. Maniac Mansion, Full Throttle, and Monkey Island are stuck as staples of a classic interactive storytelling genre of video gaming. Other such titles one might remember include Loom, the Quest for Glory series, Beneath a Steel Sky, and Under a Killing Moon. I have no doubt that there are other wonderful titles that I have unintentionally overlooked, but allow me to get to my point. As I was watching the intentionally overly-bizarre early-90s TV series Twin Peaks, I noticed the show's environment and pacing. I was constantly reminded of the Adventure gaming genre, and it hit me that Twin Peaks would make a fantastic Adventure game, along the lines of what's mentioned above. It would not seem out of place, being an older TV series that has ended. After all, Indiana Jones became an Adventure game, and even after about ten years or so another movie is apparently in the works. This classic genre needs an upheaval, and while Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk were welcome, albeit short, additions, new games are still welcome. Twin Peaks just seems to have that sort of atmosphere about it, where it could make a great adventure game. That's all I wanted to say, and as usual I digressed. But that's where it is. How about it?
