Promotional experiences  | |  I've been publishing my art journals through http://www.lulu.com since January. I've seen some success there, but I know there's more potential. For those of you who publish through this site (or others similar), what are your suggestions for promotion?

| | | | | | | | 1.  PsychoDude (1968) | 3 years ago |  Although I don't publish anything at all, I'd say as suggestion for promotion most would probably come out of mouth by mouth advertisement.
Something which a new, but now popular author, here did as well in example was ask friends to enter every bookstore they came by to ask if they had this book they were looking for, making the bookstore check for it and possibly take it in since there apparently was interest for it.
From a not known author it resulted in over 100k books sold within absolute no-time for him.

(No ISBN numbers.) I used to be a publicist for traditional and self published authors and found our in store promotional efforts to be far more exciting than online efforts . . . which is probably why I'm struggline in this area so much. | |

| | | 2. rave7278 (34) | 3 years ago |  I also published with this site. The only thing I do is promote myself, by telling everyone I know or don't know, just to get myself known . I work with local bookstores in my area, I hold book signings and previews at my library. To be honest it is not the greatest promotion but it helps me out.

I know that they have an advertising package that you can purchase but it is costly. I heard that their advertising package was a great deal and that they would help you to sell your book to stores and different online places. Good luck to you and hopefully you will make a fortune off of your items.
