1. Drawmoney (830) | 10 months ago | I think preaching is bit easier than practicing therefore i am good in the first option. No one is perfect as to err is just human. So we should not stop preaching due to this factor. We should not wait till we have 100% practicing of a thing. This process should continue.

2. dfn12968 (5580) | 10 months ago | Oh, I am definitely better at preaching, Bala. I am famous for giving advice but not following it myself. I am one of those people who knows darn well what needs to be done most of the time, but when it comes to actually doing it, I fail miserably.

balasri (6290) | 10 months ago | Who told you that we are all perfect here.We strive to be better.Thats all that counts.Isn't it?

kcook57 (856) | 8 months ago | Well in my feeble efforts as they are, I do try to practice what I preach....why would someone preach to someone else and not do it themselves...kinda hypocritical isn't it? If it is something I know I cannot do, then I sure won't preach on someone else to do what I cannot accomplish within myself.

3. Transdisc (14826) | 8 months ago | HAHAHA! I am actually pretty good at both of these, bala. It is one of the things that got me in so much trouble with my old job -- I actually practiced what I preached and people hated me for it!

balasri (6290) | 8 months ago | I know the whole story. It was so unforgettable. That response is still the most unforgettable one for me.You get the best response for that.

Transdisc (14826) | 8 months ago | Oh yes, I remember that old discussion, bala. You were very kind to me, my friend.:)

4. Modestah (7428) | 8 months ago | ah! it is so much easier to preach than it is to practice... it is one thing to know what to do, but an entirely different thing to do it. I often preach to myself, but I do not always listen. to my shame it is. how does the saying go, the heart is strong but the flesh is weak?? or something like that.
| |
| |
|
|
balasri (6290) | 8 months ago | That is a statement that Jesus made to His disciples, but it is spirit, not soul. Mark 14:38 "Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Well we always wish we could practice what we preach.Well it is the success rate that counts. Is it not so?lol

5. mimpi1911 (5707) | 8 months ago | Being a very shy person I would rather practise or better still inspire others with my practising freakness (LOL). I do not think I would ever come into lime light and preach something and sound like a disaster in the process. Serious, Bala my work has always spoken for myself and I love it that way. Thanks.

balasri (6290) | 8 months ago | We always learn a lot of things from chirping birds, running brooks, motionless ocean, and the whizzing winds. They never preach but practice serenely and sincerely.I can add Mimpi too to them.

6. Goodie123 (7207) | 8 months ago | I am good at both Bala. I always practise what I preach. Now if my partner had of listened to my preaching, he would not have received a $225.00 fine for not wearing his seatbelt on the weekend.

balasri (6290) | 8 months ago | Now he may know how to save a lot of money just by listening to you.Lol Anyway it pays to listen to good preachings and that too from your partner who is really concerned about you.

7. psyche49f (1775) | 8 months ago | I try to practice what I preach, otherwise I should never preach something I don't practice....tough! But it's really a struggle ...but more often, I am conscious of "walking my talk" that I should model what I espouse, or something like that. If I lecture about honesty, I should be honest myself. If I talk about being polite and courteous, then I should really live it, otherwise no one will believe me. "Look who's talking", I suppose they would say that. For me, I should minimize the talking. It's best to set a good example...that is more powerful, rather than pay lip service.
