I have Sky TV. How do I work it without the remote, can anyone help please? / myLot

I am having difficulty accessing the one hour of TV I actually watch per day because SOMEONE is hogging the remote. Someone else said their remote has broken and they are watching everything they want to because they are the only one that is not to lazy to get up and change channels. Ping! Ding! Lights in brain! I have Sky, how do I operate the TV without using the remote, because I can then hide the thing for the one hour a night I want to watch TV, and an do you know how I can get the subtitles too? Thank you Myloters, I know you won't let me down :-)

Hey there, On the sky machine theres actually a button that you can use manually to change your channels otherwise buy your own remote control... Good luck buddy

Thank you I shall look for that when I go back into the other room. We do have remotes here, about a dozen of the things, and also a new phone which looks like a remote and half the time I am trying to change the wretched channels with the telephone! My partner has hidden a book that came with the set box, usual war of the channels etc, but I am going to find out how to rig the TV to show only Wimbledon when that is on lol.
