3. kitchenwitchoftupper (1379) | 3 years ago | I saw this question and had to laugh. I grew up on Wheeling Island, which is a part of Wheeling, WV. Wheeling is well known for its stage performances on Saturday nights of famous country stars at the Capitol Music Hall. On Friday nights in the same building there was a dance for teenagers and I never missed one of them; but I was never a country music fan. I don't know how far back your country music knowledge goes but across the street from my house lived a country performer named "Big Slim". He was not a young man by any means, but he was married to a fairly young woman. They had 2 small boys and I was their babysitter every Saturday night. Big Slim did not own a television set. After he and his wife would leave to go to the concert every Saturday, I would take the boys to the park or do other various activities with them. Eventually I had to put them to bed. I would listen to my Rock and Roll music until I began to get even the tiniest bit drowsy and then switch it over to the country music station where the concert at the Capitol Music Hall was broadcast live. I was raised to never be rude and I most certainly didn't want Mr. Slim to think that I was not listening to his music when they came home. He was a most gentlemanly gentleman. I forget much about growing up; but I remember the pictures of their horses that were all around their apartment, the way he always walked me home to my door even though it was just right across the street, and not the least, how well they paid me. I am sorry that I can't remember both boys' names, but one of the sons' names was Audie. I hope they are doing well.~Donna

4. sigma77 (4282) | 3 years ago | I watched it once in a while several years ago. Didn't it used to be one the Nashville Country cable station or something? I can't recall much about it. I wonder if they still have it going on? It's in Nashville isn't it? I have been to Nashville a few times and should have made a visit.
