Do you or have you bad habits. Any suggestions for letting go of them?

I have many bad habits. I really wish I could let go of them once and for all. I have given up smoking quite a few times only to start again, once I gave up for a few years, I am smoking one or two a day right now and I want to give up. What is it that makes me continue, even though I know it is bad for me? I also want to give up having negative, angry thoughts and blaming others for problems. Eating too much fatty foods and sugary ones is another, the list goes on. Have you bad habits? What are they? More importantly, have you ever managed to give a bad habit up for good?? Please do tell...

I have a couple of really bad habits. NUmber one would be biting my nails. I've been doing that ever since I was a kid and can't seem to stop. POsting responses on Mylot while drinking heavily is coming a close second at the moment....can't seem to pull myself away and get to bed like I probably should.

Biting the nails isn't so bad....but heavy drinking is!!

My dear frien how can i suggeat you a problem me myself in the problem of overeating.i started at the time of my former job lot stress lead me to overeat .i eat a lot of junk foods though my tounge is coated it doesnt tasty still my mind is going after those things fried things,toffees i lost all my money ,i met with an accident while driving coz my mind was on near by shops at that time .i resigned from the job.icannot concentrate ,but the funniest thing is that as i am going through this bad habbit i heard about lot of atrocities going in the medical field .oh when i hear about them i get angry i learned about self healing .healing through changing diet and breathing exercise ,meditaiton etc and i am continouly struggling and i am doing these things al ot meditation and breathing exer et c thouhg it give me lot of concentration and peace of mind still my mind every week for 2 or 3 days goes after bad foods again i gain contrl again out of control.i lost my hunger and i am going to fast or trying to fast untill my hunger comes back.i hope it will work atleast this time i trie it several times for two days fast next days heavy food .oh my goodness it is really is a struggle .but as i going on with my studies in self healing i have noted one site or t.v channel of yoga expert baba ramdev breathing technique www.divyayoga.com

and it is helping me nowdays i think and if you do it regularly i think you can control your mind.i have personaly seen lot of people are in his camps which he conducts all over india for people .people who are addicted to cigerattes and drinks says that they did his breathing tech for 3 months regularly and they got relived from this .i think it will be worth for you to visit that site or have look for the sake www.powerofbreath.org

This will do man .100% .but nothing is going to happen unless u do it properly ,regularly ,sincerely .if you really want to eradicate that habbits i think you should make more search in internet about baba ramdev and his pranayama and the results will make your beleif stronger .
