Concider that most babies are born in hospitals where there are many more germs, and many far more dangerous. Yet no one worries aobut that. Whiloe I don't think babies should be passed directly into the germs, and parents should take care no to let people touch or handle the babies while they are still young, exposure to germs is a great way to built a healthy immunse system. The more often they are exposed the more their babies learn how to fight the germs.

No, a newborn should not be expose to areas with large amounts of people, with out having their first innoculations. Infants immune systems are still trying to develop, the germs that you expose it to in those places could cause them to become ill.

As long as the baby isn't touched by complete strangers, it's fine. Most parents have their newborn in a sling, stroller, or carseat so they aren't going to get into anything. Most people will respond"not until they have their shots/vaccinations/immunizations" but if you choose to do that, the shots aren't complete until they are around 1 years old-I'd love to meet the parents that keep their baby in the house that long! Germs are good to build up the immune system, people don't always get sick from every germ that's out there.
