What is the best natural fertilizer easy to find in your area?

I always try to avoid using chemical fertilizer. I am afraid of mismeausuring the exact compositions to apply. I prefer to use natural fertilizer. It's quite easy to find it from around of my area. The best one I choose is goat feces. Chicken feces is supposed to be better than it, but it's more expensive here, besides there is a new rule regulating on breeding birds due to the avian influenza endemy in my country. Those who breeds birds should have certification from the government. What about you?

I use only organic fertilizer and the best for me is horse and cow manure. I have several farmers that give me both for free long as I go get it although my neighbor who has the horses actually followed me home last week with his bobcat bucket heaping with horse manure and brought me 2 more loads as well, free of charge. Best thing is it was 1/2 aged already so I tilled it under in my garden, waited a week then planted my veges. Instead of buying the goat manure, try finding a farmer who raises them and see if he'll give it to you free if you go get it yourself. Sheep manure is just as good as goat manure too.

Thanks Blacbriar... On the last Sunday evening I found such a farmer. He has goats and cows. And he said I could get it myself whenever I want! I am happy because of that. I do not worry anymore about finding good fertilizer freely. God bless, Blackbriar... Have nice days!

There ya go. :-) Now you will never have to buy any fertilizer ever again unless the farmer stops raising goats and cows.

Thanks Skbadhan... I read, hear and see on Bollywood movies that your country has cow as a sacred animal, and it's been mostly breeded there, right? So, I think there must be abundance of organic fertilizer made from cow-dung. How granted your country is! (BTW, I think you've misspelled in writing URL of "My website" on your myLot's Profile. You've missed letter "g" in it, my friend! Hehehehe...) God bless, Skbadhan! Have a nice gardening!

I buy guano in packs from a horticulture store. It is from birds, too. I mix it with horns ground up from cattle. It is good for my soil but quite expensive. Guano I get either in a pack or in a pint size bottle to be mixed with water. It makes my tomatoes grow really good and they are tasty.

So, in your area quano is quite expensive too, though it is reliable to make a good growing for our plants. Well done! I like tomatoes, too! Its taste is so different with that fertilized chemically. Thanks for sharing, have nice gardening!
