Experience with Dachshunds.  | |  I have been breeding Dachshunds (Std./ Smooth ) for the last over 17 years. I find them to be very very faithful, always on guard, never hesitating to attack the trespassers, very much lovable, little expensive to maintain, always healthy.... I love all kinds of dogs, but dachshunds just have something special about them. They have very distinct personalities. And it is funny how each one of the has 'bonded' with one member of the family in particular. Jingle is my husband's dog, Trixie can't stand to be more than a few feet away from my daughter, and Molly follows me all over the house.
