My dad has had several problems with his eye after having a cataract operation that went wrong, which sent him blind in that eye and then a problem with pressure in the eye so he had no choice but to have it removed, he will now have a glass eye put in its place, do you know anyone with a glass eye and is it really noticeable?

My husband has a glass eye as the result of a knife accident in high school. Most people don't know it just by looking at him. The only problem he has with it is when the accident happened he also lost the tear duct so the eye tends to get mattered up sometimes and I have to tell him to wipe his eye out. He always carries tissues for that purpose. When he's tired his eyelid tends to get a little droppy too because he can't feel where it is on the eye. And then of course he gets a little clumsy sometimes because you lose some of your depth perception with only one eye. I make sure I never walk on his right side, I learned real quick after the first time I got an elbow in the face! LOL! If you'd like to take a look you can see pictures of him on my profile page. His glass eye is the one on the left, his right eye.

I should also add that in general day to day life he has no problem at all. He just has to be a little more aware of his surroundings. He said it didn't take him long to get used to it either. The brain compensates pretty quickly so your dad should have only a short adjustment period. Best of luck to him and I wish him a speedy recovery.

My eyes become heavy and sleepy after prolonged Myloting. I usually give in and sleep. It 's the tips of my fingers that feel like they are burning from constant typing. I need to have a break from time to time when this happens because I do not feel comfortable. i haven't had the burning sensation when i stay very long on my computer. but my eyes do feel heavy, specially when i stay on my computer for more than 24-hours straight,i'm ok as long as its less than 24-hours.
