Do you enjoy John Wayne movies, or any of the older Western movies? |
|
Lately my husband has been into watching the old John Wayne movies and some of the other older western movies. I don't mind watching a few, but lately I'm getting really tired of watching them. My dad used to watch the old westerns also. I'm also getting burnt out on Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and Clint Eastwood. I enjoy watching them sometimes, but hopefully this is just a phase he is going thru for awhile.

1. sunshinelady (4866) | 1 year ago | I am not a big western watcher but I do like John Wayne movies. Not to the point that I watch them all the time but every now and then I will throw a John Wayne movie in my vcr player. I like to watch him and like the way he comes across on the screen. He was a person who portrayed the American Way. But I would not like to watch him constantly.

2. emeraldisle (9054) | 1 year ago | I like a few of John Wayne movies that were his westerns, Rio Lobo, Rio Bravo, and El Dorado. Those three are the ones I like with him. With Clint Eastwood I love Two Mules for Sister Sara and also Paint Your Wagon (Not your typical western though) and I liked his later one Pale Rider but that was a much later one. I was never big on the westerns but there are some I like. Maybe try to get him to watch ones like Calamity Jane or Cat Ballou? Those are westerns just different ones:) that you might like as well.

emeraldisle (9054) | 1 year ago | I've heard of that John Wayne movie but never saw it. I never cared for his war movie ones and only a few of his westerns. Just not exactly my cup of tea I guess.

gypsylady28 (661) | 1 year ago | I would rather watch the westerns then the war movies. Those totally drive me nuts. I didn't mind some of the historical ones, but the ones that are just a bunch of shooting, bombing, and killing I can pass on.

emeraldisle (9054) | 1 year ago | Same here. I just don't have the need to see it. There are expections to any rule of course but over all if it's a war movie I'll pass on it.
