The Answer to the True 3D Sonic games???

Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, and 3 were the best 2D Sonic games ever. What happened after Sonic turned 3D? Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Sonic the Hedgehog were horrible 3D games. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 for the Dreamcast were amazing. The truth is, the REAL 3D Sonic games are hidden inside the Dreacast ones. Emerald Coast in Sonic Adventure and Green Hill zone in Sonic Adventure 2 are perfect examples. It makes me very sad at the lost potential Sonic had. If all of Sonic's levels were as good as Emerald Coast and Green Hill, Sonic would have destroyed Mario and Crash Bandicoot. I only hope that one day, these innovating levels can inspire a real 3D Sonic game. Never-the-less, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 are outstanding games, the innovation was lost because of the new characters, and Tails/Eggman's and Rouge's/Knuckles levels. I hated those levels.
