How will life in the world end?

In my opinion, the world would just end because of man's carelessness with nature. Pollution just keeps on increasing everyday and can't actually be stopped and lots of people keep on cutting down trees everyday. Trash is piling up rapidly everyday too and not everyone is even trying to recycle. I guess, the earth is just dying a little bit each day, which actually scares me at times just thinking about it. But, of course, I'm not sure if I would actually still be living when the earth is already at it's total destruction. But I really pity our future great great grandchildren who would definitely suffer the consequences of what's happening today.
