Who is your most favorite Motown artist?

I guess growing up in the Detroit area, it was hard for me to avoid growing up in listening to Motown. I grew to love it, especially since I've entered my twenties and realized how timeless some of the music really is.
My favorite motown artist is probably Stevie Wonder, as I think his talent is surreal. I also like Aretha Franklin because of her pipes. Boy can she sing!

There were so many, of course I was young and Motown had trailed off by the time I was growing up. But, I do remember some really good artist and some really good music....I would have to go with Aretha the Queen and probably Smoky Robinson.

why b/c Arthea had a different style and sounded a great deal better than other female artist of that day. And she had a certain style about her that was lacking in Diana and some of the others. As for Smoky well who can resist a great crooner? Smoky was the musical version of Billie D. Williams.
