| | | | | | | | | 1. mcthawk (36) | 3 years ago |  From memory it was introduced as an alternative to copper communication transfer wires, telephobe cableing etc. Many of the cable tv networks use it. Personally I reckon it makes great fantasy lamps and not bad for fishing with.

It uses the principle of total internal reflection to transmit signals over large distances. Though these are quite expensive but they do save a lot of power loss. The efficiency of it is very high. But the demerit of it is that you cant turn them too much. Till around 25-30 degrees its ok but after that it just might break down. | |
