Who's guilty of this?

In the years that I've read the Bible many times in several translations I never noticed this, don't know why I never seen it maybe just taking things for granted but in Luke 4:18 Jesus takes the book of Isaiah and reads right from the book chapter 61:1 but if you check these scriptures word to word he adds (to give sight to the blind)now if a Rabbi would get up and add words to the scripture they would be throwing him out and the Bible from the beginning to the end says not to add or take away from the scriptures with dire consequences. This was very shaking to me since then I've went through the new testament and have found so many very bad unexcusable mistakes. We can't say well men make mistakes cause the scriptures itself say that it was written as the Holy spirit moved on the men who wrote it. Has any body got some kind of plausible explanation?

I can explain it a little bit.We all agree bible has been translated many times.Now when the munks translated they were going till late night and when they were tired they could have slipped some things.Please know that their writing was different one spot wrong could have mean something totally different just like the same word in chinese but have some different pronouncation.Also some scriptures are not translated yet and people don;t want to,probably because they are afraid of the truth.Some things are being hold as a secret.
That's why some things are not true or less true than we think.

Surely if they would have been up so late that it would cause this they would have went over this book many times before ok'd. Why did it not bother the ones doing the translation when since Whytecliff, and Tyndale it has been translated hundreds of times and today they are changing it faster than a person can keep up with it. The things that I am referring to are not so much translations but just plain not true. This passage that I used for an example is out of the book that Paul was supposed to have written himself. What things that are being held as secret?

we are never to add nor detract a word, nor a comma, nor a period to what is written in the Bible. we will just simply read it. when we try to say what we have understood about what's written therein, that is not the Bible speaking, that is the person. when Jesus Christ came forth and He went on teaching God's words, He was an authority beyond question, for He has come and has spoken the Words of God Himself. so i'd rather not question whatever Jesus Christ has spoken during His lifetime, i choose to believe in everything that he has said. however, i will take a look at this verse which has troubled you and come back for more of it.

I'm not sure which translations you have been studying from. I am glad to hear that you are aware that they are merely translations. The Bible was originally written in Greek and Hebrew, even the King James Version has many errors. The best thing to do is to get an Interlinear Bible and a good Concordance and look up the meaning of the words in the original text. However, as far as Jesus adding to words from Isaiah....Jesus is the Word. See John 1:1. He existed before Isaiah. He gave the words to Isaiah. He is part of the Holy Trinity, working with the Father and the Holy Spirit. I think he had the authority to say anything in scripture that he wanted to. Without him, none of us would even be here to read the Word.

I've got greens Interlinear Hebrew Greek 4 volume that I've read and by what I know of the Hebrew it's just the Hebrew copied from the the new Greek, and Zondervans Greek parallel. I've read the complete Jewish Bible the king James many times Josephus, Eusebius, the history of Christianity I've wore a path to and from the Library LOL. Now all this studying has helped me understand things tremendously and over the past years I know they was contradictions but it's just been here lately that it's like what I've seen in the new testament you take a rag and wipe the glass and what you thought you was reading is totally different. An example and if any one will check it out and get back will be appreciated. Paul is a Pharisee what he speaks is by the Spirit but look at Acts.9:7 and Acts.22:9 him being taught under Gamliel he would have been tremendously educated in scripture and knowledge. How did he make this mistake and those scholars translating this book would had to know this. Make sure you understand me my intentions are not on trashing this book but I look at this real seriously.
