Tell me how you feel about Rachael Ray?

On a lot of the other message boards I visit, there is this unparalleled hatred for Rachael Ray. Many say she's annoying or just plain stupid. At the same time many say she is unskilled and just really plain. I think she got so popular because she is the 'girl next door' that did have some fancy education at a top culinary school. I feel that a lot of America identifies with her because she's the 'everyman' who slowly worked herself up the top doing what she loves best. I think that is the reason I don't hate her. Sure, she can get annoying with her acronyms or silly giggle, but at the same time I think that this is what made her unique and exciting in the first place. However, I don't always believe her with her cooking recommendations (especially when she says something is healthy), but I do use her recipes as inspiration for my own. Do you truly hate Rachael Ray or do you like her? Why do you feel the way you do?

I really like her. I find her tv shows full of personality, and very fun to watch. I've also gotten a lot of great recipe ideas from her cookbooks. Her recipes are easy to follow, and they are also easy to make adjustments too. I'm in a family of picky eaters, so being able to easily tweak recipes is a big plus!

I like her. I get great ideas from her. What kind of masterpieces are people expecting in 30 minutes????

We don't have the pleasure of having Rachael Ray on our TV shows, but I've heard a lot about her from Americans and read some of her recipes. She seems a bit annoying to me and seems to cook rather unhealthy dishes while claiming they're super healthy. Isn't she the one who always cooks with lots of butter, btw? I'd never go so far as to hate her, but I can see why other people might.

Really? I didn't know a lot of people don't like her. Personally, i find Rachael Ray quite charming and sometimes hilarious. I've no problem with her giggles, I believe that's what make her "likeable" to other people. I do visit her site once in a while to get some recipe ideas, and although i find her recipes quite far-fetch (not suitable for everyday cooking and other ingredients are not available or hard to find here in our country), I often use these recipes to create my own recipes. ^___^
