It is one of the famous hill resort in India . Nainital has remained the favourite summer haunt of the young, the hip, the bold & the beautiful. This hill station is nestled in the majestic Himalayan range with valleys full of deodars, firs and pines. Nainital has several attraction but you can always do a day trip and explore other areas like:
1) Corbett National Park, one of the Oldest national parks in India.
2) Naini Lake - It is from this lake that Nainital takes its name and reputation. Hire a row boat or paddles boat and enjoy an evening out of the placid waters.
2) The Mall - You can call it the hub. There are shops, restaurants, bazaars, hotels etc.,
3) GB Pant High Altitude Zoo - It is perched at 2100m above sea level and is known for its monkeys, black bears, civet cats, leopards and Siberian tigers. (Closed on mondays & national holidays).
4) Aerial Ropeway - This connects Snow View Point with the town. Don't miss this one.
5) Cave Garden - It is located in Sukha Tal.
6) Naina Peak - Also known as China Peak. This is the highest peak in Nainital.
7) Dorothy's Seat & Tiffin Top - Situated at 2292 meter above sea level, this is a great picnic spot.
8) Hanuman Garhi - It is a religious centre, famous for its sunset view.
9) In addition to all above you can enjoy Sailing, Kayaking, Canoeing in Naini Lake, parasailing in Naukuchiatal, hot air ballooning in sukhtal, rock climbing at Bara Pathar and also at Camel's back.
