| | My grandfather use to be a preacher and the song he use to sing with such a smile on his lips and a light in his eyes was"Will the circle be broken"I believe taht is the correct tittle for the song..I just remember how he looked when he singed it...Just his happiness and belief in the words made me feel a higher inspiration... | | | | | | |

| | I don't think anything could compare to Randy Travis singing 'I'll fly Away' Let me give you the scenario it was at the Steven Wingfield esperience in Chambersburg in 2004.... Hurricane Ivan I believe it was, was heading up the coast, we left Maryland to go to PA to hear Randy Travis, in the Tornado watches.... Well they followed us up there.....come to find out every town surrounding us had tornados....I had gone out to the car to get a bottle of water and I overheard the security guard talking saying that the situation was trying to be kept under wraps. The concert didn't start until 9pm, in the gym.....but that night I truly felt protected by God, and Randy Travis told us all he didn't expect these weather conditions, and the song was on his playlist and we all sang I'll fly away with Randy Travis I was 50 feet from the stage.....and it was truly a night to remember. Come to find out later there were FIVE touchdowns of tornados in the area, and we saw damage of 2, we drove under a downed power line, and by a house that had all the windows blown in and roof taken off So now every time I hear that song, it holds a special memory for me. Mooch | Randy Travis at the Steve Wingfield experience

| | I love In the Garden. Just after I was born again, I got a tape featuring a black fellow whose last name is Green I think. He did that song in a way that I have never forgotten. Apparently this fellow is also the pastor of a church in the states somewhere. And my dad used to play Tennessee Ernie Ford albums all the time when I was growing up. There was one album where Ford was singing with the Jordanaires and they sang a song called the Jericho Road. I love that song, and I will likely have to wait for my mother to pass before I can get my hands on it to turn it into a CD. I have tried to find another album like it somewhere but to no avail. Sigh. | | | | | | |

| | Yes, In the Garden is beautiful. Are you thinking of Steve Green? He is a really good Christian artist and has a wonderful voice. I don't think I have heard of "The Jericho Road". I do remember the Jordanaires when they sang with Elvis. My parents are huge Elvis fans and they own every album he put out! lol! Those are great! | | | |

| | I found the album I love so much at the Tennessee Ernie Ford site. 24. Great Gospel Songs (With The Jordanaires) Capitol # ST-2026 // Released February 3, 1964) // Note: Ernie's second LP with The Jordanaires; this was 1964's Grammy Winner for Best Inspirational Recording. // Side 1 : Just Over In Gloryland / Hide Me, Rock Of Ages / I'll Have A New Life / He Knows What I Need / A Beautiful Life / Daniel Prayed Side 2: I Can Tell You The Time / Just A Little Talk With Jesus / Peace Like A River / We'll Soon Be Done With Troubles And Trials / On The Jericho Road / Give The World I love this album and I will buy it if I can find it. I would love to get it in CD. This is one I would cherish. | | | |

| | Found him! Al (Albert) Greene AKA Green. From Wikipedia... "Albert Greene (popularly known as Al Green), born April 13, 1946 is an American gospel and soul music singer who enjoyed great popularity in the early and mid 1970s." And there is more. But his rendering of 'In the Garden' is the one I think of most. | | | |

| | well it's not really religiuos but i really like land of hope and glory... Land of Hope and Glory, Mother of the Free, How shall we extol thee, who are born of thee? Wider still, and wider, shall thy bounds be set; God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet! Truth and Right and Freedom, each a holy gem, Stars of solemn brightness, weave thy diadem. Tho' thy way be darkened, still in splendour drest, As the star that trembles o'er the liquid West. Throned amid the billows, throned inviolate, Thou hast reigned victorious, thou has smiled at fate. Land of Hope and Glory, fortress of the Free, How may we extol thee, praise thee, honour thee? Hark, a mighty nation maketh glad reply; Lo, our lips are thankful, lo, our hearts are high! Hearts in hope uplifted, loyal lips that sing; Strong in faith and freedom, we have crowned our King! i'm sure theres some other verses with colonist sentiments that have been buried but ignoring that... makes a much better anthem than god save the queen which is a bit of a dirge. | | | | | | |

| | "I Can Only Imagine" is a wonderful song! I am so glad that the radio station that I listen a lot to plays that song! They play mostly secular music, but that is one song they do play a lot! I love it! | | | |

| | I am glad they play this song on secular radio stations. And it does bring about the Lord's presence. This song was played at one of my daughter's friends funerals. SO this song holds special meaning for us too. | | | |
