for me it's not being pathetic or weird.
being in love with somebody online is so sweet and exciting sometime.well maybe because of the thrill it brings to them.
and i know some people who started up being lovers online and ended up being lovers in real life.

It is ok to fall for an online buddy but sometimes you do have to be careful and make sure that you really know who you are talking to. I have a girlfriend that fell for someone online one time and then one day she said that she was moving to New York to live with him and when she got there she learned that the person that she fell in love with was not the person that she knew online but I know of some that have met and then gotten married to their online buddys.

It's not pathetic as long as you follow your heart and be careful. I actually met my husband on Eharmony which is online as well. I have falling in lust with some guys on yahoo back in my teen years but not lately. Good luck if you are falling for someone :)

yes, my son went with a gal for about six years. and they had a big wedding but after less then a year he fell for an online g/f and this caused his marriage to go...he is a stranger to me as I refused to pay for his divorce..he had a good job at LEAR and made as much money as I did at FORD but he could not budget his money..so i refused to pay for his divorce..this is so sad..I really loved my daughter in law and my son threw it away for a on line "buddy"? Well, that has been nince years ago and he still stays away from me..he said it was my responsibility ..but i told him i was not paying for his divorce..i paid for his mothers divorce..twice..and that was enough for me..enough is enough..this is pathetic and weird...

75% of my real life girlfriends came from the net and i've no problems with it. people can think it's pathetic but there i was, smart and lovely girlfriend. something they can't have. i guess it's just a matter of how you meet your partner. what's the difference anyway?
