What type of flooring do you prefer and why ?

Do you like tiled floors , or floor with cushioning , hard wood floors or carpet .
We just bought a house and although I love the house , I hate the fact that there is carpet in it . My husband is a severe asthmatic and carpet triggers his asthma and makes it so much worse so we will have to rip it all out .
I love hard wood floors and although tiling is nice , I find it rips easily and if you get a rip in cushioning then you have to replace the whole floor if you want to make it look good again . What do you like and why ?

Alright i have a little idea about flooring but still lets see if it helps. From my experience, flooring of tiles is now a days very common and we all like to be a little different from others. So tiles are out of my list. Then it some to wooded flooring, well it looks great but its life is short, I mean that slowly with time it will get damaged by the effect of water inside the floor, and it might be the case that it may get damped. Same goes with the carpet flooring, but in this cleaning liquid stains is again a great problem. So basically it will be marble flooring that i will opt for. Its hard, scratches resistant and easy to clean. These days you can even get marble tiles.

I forgot about marble flooring but it is true that is nice , my dad has that in his house but not something you want to fall on . My dad was up on a ladder and fell off and broke his nose because of the marble flooring lol . Wasn't funny at the time but when you think about it , what were the chances he was going to fall off the ladder .

Hardwood is the way to go but if you have younger kids, they could get tore up if they have huge toys like metal trucks. Tile is nice but not very kid friendly if they are in the toddler stage. For me, hardwood is the way to go because it is easy to clean and looks great with any decor.

I like any floor that is cheep and do not cost me any money and I like it clean floor too . I have all floors in my house and they are all good . I like carpet in the winter because I like it to be warm and I like to have a rug and it is easy to clean . I like the floor in my house .

Well I like any flooring at all besides Carpet, I hate carpet soo much I find it looks soo dirty and gross. Not to mention any one with allergies it makes it soo much worse for them.
