I missed those days when you write letters to all your pen-pals all over the world..
I got great penpals in US,Japan, Europe when I was younger when there was no such thing as emails...
You waited in anticipation for the postman to come every day...!Those were the days and also not forgetting the postage stamps which I kept them diligently..
Is this hobby extinct with everyone using emails now...???

lesser people send snail mails these days. they prefer sending emails since it is faster and cheaper. but there are still times when i prefer to send through the snail mail. i like it better when the person i am writing to can enjoy and hold hte card that i am sending. it makes her appreciate it more.
i had stamp collections before too but i was never able to collect much of it. i still prefer looking at the stamps on the envelope than out of it :)

I don't like snail mail. For one I never could think of what to write. I always tried to come up with something since it always took forever to write the letter and get it sent off and recieve one in return, but I never could come up with something interesting. I like being able to email, where you can write something short, they recieve it within seconds and can email you back.

In 1970s, I used to have correspondence with friends in 6 countries and I was always waiting for their replies, reading of those letters used to bring joy, happiness which is totally missing in the presently day electronic media. I was a stamp collector and those friends used to affix variety of stamps on the envelope and used to send the stamps for my collection.
