What do you think of website sites with pop-ups, pop-unders, and the likes?

I am thinking of adding something like these to my site to generate more income from it. But I am very concerned as to what my visitors would think of my site after seeing advertisements popping up and under.
Do you guys frequent sites with these type of advertising strategy? I'd like to know so I can be guided accordingly. Thanks a zillion in advance for sharing your views!

I am not sure if it would do you any good to add popups to your website, since so many ppl have pop-up blockers and utterly hate pop-ups...
Even the ones that do not have a pop-up blocker try to figure out how to get one shortly after.
I have cable modem, and pop-ups (b/c some sites you use you have to enable them--some of the survey sites.) And as soon as I know the survey is done, the blocker is back on. Who knows what could get thru... Computers are a lot of $ and no one wants a virus.
