Awesome Gara geSale Planning a Yard Sale

I have overy 900 items to put in a garage Sale. The stuff cponsists oc Bri-aBrac and other cxollecable, with fancy serving disshes, Platters, Fancu Plait. This is a workmans neibhorhood, although the Upper Babt Boomers are moveinfg in as well. I think my hights price is $6.00 and wonder if this is too high. I would lower it if someone mist ask me.Wjat to do besides put up poster? How earlyu to start in the day. I really do not want to start befdor 11am or bettter stillNoon.or thereabouts. Did you have one? Your firnds?

No, I do not think 6 buck is to high for a garage sale. I have been to ones people are selling furniture appliances for way more then that.

When I have had a sale I normally start early around 5 ish. I live in Phoenix so people come early and stop at around 11 ish probably because of the heat. I would put a few sighns up, I did not advertise. But I live in the Suburbs people drive around looking for them. But if you live in a rural area I would advertise.

Disaster. That's what my Garage Sale was! I'm sure someone had put a "hex" on it. I couldn't even give the stuff away,and I did try that. I am planning another one and will transport it to another part of the city where the .inhabitants are from all walks of life. and most everybody speaks at least two languages and their tastes for garage sales go from the bezzar to the extreme. (I can't believe all the spelling mistakes in my original post) There must have been a 'glitch' as I always preview my post before I submit.)

advertize in local paper...put out signs with arrows several streets away ...if your supermarket has a bulletin board ask to put up a sign make it bright to catch the eye of prospective customers...to make pricing easier set up several tables ...a $1 table a $2 ,$3 dollar table etc...larger more expensive items put in a make an offer group and be prepared to bargain ...people love to haggle at yard sales...make sure the advertisement is correct Right address...right day and time...start early to catch the early birds...have lots of change coin and bills...and good luck

Sorry it did not go well. Hope you have better luck next time. I sold a few things on Ebay but when I tried car boot sales (which I think would be our equivalent to a garage sale) I did not do very well at all. I am not very outgoing or pushy enough.
