I gave birth 2 times and was hospitalized once and I stayed in a suite room and in a private room and I was very comfortable. My daughters have been hospitalized too and they all stayed in a private room. Last time my daughter was hospitalized and I had her accommodated in a ward, she cried throughout the day because she found it hot and find the people strange, that I had to transfer her to a private room. I find that my children and I feel comfortable in a private room. The longest that I had to stay in a hospital is 3 nights and 4 days.

I broke my ankle in the sixth grade an dhad to stay at the hospital for a couple of days. I had a private room , but I wanted to be at home so bad. I hate hospitals. When I gave birth I was ready to go home right after having her. They wouldn't let me, but I did leave the very next day. I felt there was no need being there I was ok and Felt fine and was thinking why stay here when I woudl be so much more comfortable in my own bed?

LOL Yeah I have spent many nights in the hospital. I have had 16 major surgeries and many more minor ones. I have had a couple bad experiences in the hospital and I dont like to stay but sometimes you have to do it.
Years ago when I had my hysterectomy, they has semi private and wards. I was in a ward. There were 5 of us ladies and we all had hysterectomies one right after the other. It was scary when they would bring one of them back and they would be crying. I was so stressed by the time they got to me, I was ready to pull the Iv out and run home. LOL

I hate staying in hospitals just because of the smell and the other people that scream and moan at times. The hospital freaks me out so bad I won't go unless I'm severely hurt or just about dying.lol I don't know what it is but to me if you have to go to the hospital then you are in some deep trouble.

It is difficult to be a patient when you are a nurse yourself. I do what I need to do to get better and get out of there as quick as I can. Luckily I have only been in the hospital 3 times in the last 15 years. Once for a broken hip, once for gyno troubles, and once for low blood pressure. My treatment by the staff was excellent but the food always is the absolute worst! And who can sleep in a hospital? Nurses coming in every couple of hours to shove pills in your face, check your vitals or stick you with yet another needle. pfft I hate nurses....lol

I dont really feel much comfortable when im at the hospital. I always look for the quickes possible way to get out. I stayed for five days at the hospital. That's the longer i stayed in a hospital when i was giving birth to my first baby. It was really a feeling of hell when Im there. Im at the ward coz at that time private room has already been full. If only i was given a choice not stay there for such long time i would but i have left with no choice. I was admited tuesday a.m. expecting that i would give birth soon but it turns out i give birth the next day at 7 p.m. through c- section. The doctor said that my cervics is not improving and the baby in my tummy is already weakening so my doctor adviced me that they have no choice but to undergo me an operation. And when everything's done, i was too weak to go home thats why my hospital stays reach until five days. But the soon i feel that i gain a little strength i ask my doctor to go home and continue my recovery there. good thing he allows me knowing that my home is not far from him. He just pays me a regular visit. And check me and my baby from time to time. :)
