when i was a kid, i hated milk and my mother had to make great effort to force a glass of milk into me. my mother says milk is a building material of human body. without milk its not possible to fulfil the needs of the growin human body. it contains all the useful minerals needed by a human body to grow and be strong against the invasions of diseases. there are many kinds of milk, milk of a goat, cow, camel. it said the most suitable alternative of mother's milk is that of a goat, it contains all useful jingrdients which r present in mother's milk. i drink atleast one glass of milk everyday. do u think its that much important as my mother says, it is?? do u like?? how much milk do u drink everyday??

I'm doomed. i don't drink milk at all. I haven't since I was about 6. I do eat a lot of cheese and I will have ice cream during the summer. But that is as close as I will ever get to milk.

its not better to drink water then milk but milk has its own importance and water has its own, u can't replace either of them with other. but u can use yougurt instead. it is according to the recent researches that yougurt is much better then milk, so u can use sweet yougurt in place of mllk.

Except for those folks who are lactose intolerant, milk can be very healthy. But you can get the same nutrients from all dairy products. So if you don't like milk, eat yogurt, cheese, or other dairy products. Many people who are lactose intolerant can drink goats milk. And it also is healthy food. The really important part of dairy products for women especially is calcium. While there are other ways to get one's calcium, milk is the easiest, I think. That's probably because I love dairy products! :-) I have to be careful not to use too many dairy products, as they add up to too many calories or fat for me. But most people don't have to worry about that. There are many cultures that do not drink any kind of milk and they are healthy. I think that where your culture orginates determines what foods are good for you. There are many indigenous Americans that are lactose intolerant. And when you look at their origin you find that they did not have any livestock to produce milk. They relied on hunting and gathering for their foods. I've read that allergists can determine what area of Africa certain people orginated from by what foods they can't tolerate. I think that is really interesting. The "experts" say that we would be healthier if we only ate the kinds of foods produced withing 30 miles of where we live. Living in a metropolitan area sure would limit my menu! LOL

By the way, we drink mostly cow's milk in the states. Goat's milk is available but sometimes hard to find and definitely more expensive. I don't know that I've ever drunk any other kind of milk. We have "fresh" milk, in that it has not be dehydrated or canned, in plastic bottles or waxed cardboard cartons. It has been homogenized and pasturized before it is bottled. We do have some "shelf stable" milk in small containers. It doesn't have to be refrigerated until after it is opened. I just doesn't taste quite the same as fresh milk. I've used powdered milk in the past, but never liked it much. I used to use it because it was less expensive and I was very poor. It is fine for cooking, of course. I use condensed milk in cans when baking.

that was a really good and deatailed answer. thancs. yeah taking lots of dairy produts can effect ur body shape, but this can be reduced by doing excercises daily and having a lil walk. i think natural dair products can never be replaced by powdered milk. people who work at dairy farms have very strong hands and stiff muscles. this is because they use fresh milk and natural products. i wish i had a dairy farm, but i'm planning to do so. pray for me!!

Yes I like to drink milk but I am not drinking it as often as others do. i know that drinking milk is good because it gives us strength and help us become healthy. I never had the chance to drink cow, goat or camel's milk but if got to have the chance I'll do so.
